Amity. Erudite. Candor. Abnegation. Dauntless. Divergent.

One test decides your future. When you turn 16 each person takes a test to decide which faction you will live in. There are 5 fractions. Amity- the peaceful. Erudite- the Intelligent. Candor- the honest. Abnegation- the selfless. Dauntless- the brave. Each person takes the aptitude test that decides which faction you would be best in. But it is your choice. Tris has turned 16, and is very nervous about the test. Her brother, who will take the test the same day, knows what he will chose. Tris knows he has always been a good fit for abnegation, which is where their family is now, but she also knows it is his decision. Tris takes the aptitude test and walks out more confused than ever. What will she chose. At the ceremony they have to cut a piece of their hand and dip their blood over the faction they choose. “Faction over Blood” Tris can’t chose between abnegation or dauntless. She chooses dauntless. The Brave.Tris kinda has an idea of what the dauntless does and what they're brave stunts are. To get to the dauntless compound all of the transfer students have to jump onto a train. Which is scary and frightening for most transfers. When they get there, they are faced with there first test of bravery. They have to jump off a very tall building. Tris jumps off first, and is known as the first jumper. She lands in a net. It is very unheard of for someone from abnegation to transfer to dauntless, let alone be the first jumper.She lands in a net. When she gets into the compound she meets her instructor Four she is asked what her name is. Her Abnegation given name, but now that she has joined dauntless she picks a nickname. “Tris.” Tris is faced with difficult challenges and simulations along her dauntless ride. Many times Tris is ranked 1st in the groups are close to first. Dauntless is brave, but some people will also do anything to be at the top. They fight for fun and training. You can not cry out in fear or you will be punished. Tris makes a few friends Al, Christina, and Will, and most importantly Four. Four and Tris have a romantic relationship through the books. Tris is in danger, in danger for who she is and something she can't control.

This book is now one of my favorites of all time! I can't tell you how much you really need to give this book! I gave this book 5/5 stars, because evrything was PERFECT! The action, anticipation, romance and of course fear. Fear a character you love could die at any second! Oh I can't express how much I love this book! Everything from the cover to the very last page is PHENOMAL! Please go and read this book right now! There are no regrets reading this book! And it really should have a warning sign on the cover, because when you open you CAN NOT stop reading! Good vs Evil, Faction over Blood! Yes. Best book I have read since the selection series!
