The Heir: Book Review Kiera Cass 5/5 Stars Spoiler Free Review PLEASE DO NOT READ SYNOPSIS IF YOU HAVE NOT FINISHED THE FIRST THREE BOOKS IN THE SERIES!!! Synopsis: Queen America won Maxon's heart and the Crown 20 years ago. A lot has happened in those twenty years. The castes are gone, there are 4 Royal children, and America and Maxon's oldest child Eadlyn is the first heir to the throne that's a girl. Eadlyn is about to hold her own selection, whether she wants to or not. The castle is in a bit of a hard time and needs a small distraction. A selection is the perfect choice, and Eadlyn would need to find a man to rule by her side sometime soon anyways. But is Eadlyn doesn't want to rule with anyone. She likes to be powerful, and thinks having a man rule by her side takes her power away. Love just gets in the way of power. Either way, after some convincing she agrees to hold a selection. 35 men are invited to the place to compete for the princess hand in marriage and the crown (sound familiar 😊) Eadlyn's selection is very different. There is no selectively choosing the candidates, they are all chosen randomly. There is a "friend" of Eadlyn chosen to participate in the selection. Some of the romance is in public all for show, and Eadlyn isn't afraid of what the boys think. She'll go yelling around embarrassing things about the boys in public and doesn't care. Ahren is Eadlyn's twin, her other half. He is always kind and always knows what to say. After a date with one of the selected, and talk with Ahren, Eadlyn realizes she cares about each of the boys, each in a different way. The selection might not have been what she originally though. My Review: THE ENDING!!! Ahhh!! It killed me! The feels, the tears!, and of course the curiosity! This book is a total cliff banger ending beware! Thankfully though if your just starting this book, the final (cries) book in the series will be released in one week on May 3rd! "Unfortunately" for me, I decided to read this book back in September of last year and have been waiting to receive the answers to my questions for a while! Okay, now that I'm done ranting about the ending we can talk about the rest of this book. I literally loved this book from the first page to the very last!!! I love Eadlyn. She was kind of a brat at the begging but got WAY better as the book went on. The romance! Oh the romance! I didn't want to miss a single word of this entire book! I loved seeing some of the old characters come back into play for this book! This was a all round beautifully written book!! It was phenomenal!! I highly highly HIGHLY recommend this series!!!
