Synopsis: With only a few men left; and the circumstances the palace is in, things are heating up. Eadlyn is running the palace giving Maxon and America time to rest/ be together. Being Queen unexpectedly for a while really makes her day a whole lot busier. Eadlyn has to decide who to marry, and somewhat soon. She is under a good amount of stress with the selection going on and the duties of being Queen and King. And with her older brother not there for support, it only makes it harder. Many people are helping in any ways they can especially Lady Brice, and surprisingly Josie. Eadlyn has to learn to pick either her heart and get true love or her head, which might make the people happier. Even though she doesn't have do finish the selection she wants to now. She realizes she cares about each one of them. Eadlyn is full of power, bravery, compassion, hard work, and a little bit of romance. The final choice of who won is based of one tiny question. Head, or heart.
My Review: I honestly never thought I would say this, but I didn't like it as much as I was expecting. It was still and wonderful, very enjoyable read, and I wanted more. I really May or Aunt May to come into the book, but she didn't. I also wanted Ahren to play a little bit of a bigger role but that is all. That is the major reason I was a little disappointed. I also wanted more romance in this book. Maxon and Americas story was great because they knew they were meant for each other, and Eadlyn doesn't know until the final pages of the book, which means we really don't get to see much of how they are together. I was also disappointed with two of the boys in the book and thought it was un-needed to put that in the book, that alone kind of hurt my opinion for the book. Other than those 3 reasons, I loved the book! I had a ton of action, which led me to finish the book in one night. I know I've pointed out pretty much all the things I didn't enjoy about the book, but let me tell you don't let it stop you from reading it. I really did enjoy this book I was just expecting a little bit more. I loved seeing Americas mom come into play in this book. There were also so new family secrets revealed in this book that were very entertaining. I really truly did enjoy this book! book.
