My Lady Jane - Book Review

Synopsis*:

"The comical, fantastical, romantical, (not) entirely true story of Lady Jane Grey. In My Lady Jane, coauthors Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, and Jodi Meadows have created a one-of-a-kind fantasy in the tradition of The Princess Bride, featuring a reluctant king, an even more reluctant queen, a noble steed, and only a passing resemblance to actual history—because sometimes history needs a little help.

At sixteen, Lady Jane Grey is about to be married off to a stranger and caught up in a conspiracy to rob her cousin, King Edward, of his throne. But those trifling problems aren’t for Jane to worry about. Jane gets to be Queen of England.

Like that could go wrong."

* I did not write this synopsis, I got it from Amazon, It belongs to the publisher, author/ rightful owner!

My Review: I love this book to England, then to the bookstore and back! I can't even describe to you how much I really, really loved and enjoyed this book. I loved the strong female lead character ( Lady Jane) she's stubborn, determined, brave, smart, kind, and best of all, a BOOKWORM! She becomes Queen (even though she doesn't want to) because Edward the King, the person who she is closest to out of her family, is sick, dying to be exact. Lady Jane manages to get married and become Queen in about 24 give or take a little. In England there are Edians, people who change from human form to animal. The animal they turn into is what I would call their sprit animal. I loved having this element of magic in the book! It made the story a whole lot more interesting! All of the characters in this book, even the not so nice ones, I loved! One more thing you need to know about this book before you read it, because you really need to, and you should, and you will, because I told you to, is it's hilarious! Like I was laughing a ton in this book! I bow down to Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, and Jodi Meadows for writing this wonderful, amazing book! I'm hoping their will be a sequel in store!
